NFT is not art, it's not a collectible, and it's not even really a thing. NFT is really just a representation of a thing, plus a bank account.
Just about anything physical and abstract can be represented by an NFT (as long as it's not fungible anyway...) and anything represented can be traded. The only limit is our imagination.
- Personas - Imagine that you leave Facebook but keep your profile and take it with you to twitter. Never fill in those details again!
- Instant spaces - Think of NFTs as tickets and these tickets allow you enter some cool parties/events/places. We automatically augment every NFT collection with a private space, for the community. No configuration necessary!
- Publication - Did you write something so great that it should be stored forever? No problem! Put your thoughts into NFTs and save them on the blockchain.
- Gig Marketplace - Got some virtual skills? Why don't you mint them as NFTs. Each NFT representing a unit of service, or a gig you're willing to perform. Once completed, the NFTs return to you and you can sell them again, and again, and again.
- Organizations as NFTs - An entire business in an NFT. Bank account, registration, permits, IP, and assets. The whole thing, up and running in just 1 click.
Web2 social networks are like marriage. You join and you're stuck with them. You can leave if you want, but they get to keep all of your stuff. An open social network is more like polygamy. It is a network that lets you to keep your stuff when you leave, and doesn't get jealous if you subscribe to other networks. It is a systems with interchangeable parts.
