Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
But there are lots of users of this downstream, who import the jsonnet lib and customize their configurations downstream, which is why you might not see activity on it. However, there is no block on it, nor is it archived.
If you wish to contribute to it or use it, feel free to raise PRs/raise issues, and ask for reviews in Thanos CNCF slack channels. 🙂
