The folder function highly resembles SAF one, but Also, let's consider this use case: user can pick one or multiple file(s) calling Therefore, please consider to adopt the changes, perhaps partly. Or even integrating it SAF as something like |
I haven't tried it out but the code looks good to me. |
Wow this looks super useful. So many missing features have been implemented. Any chance we get this thing merged? |
This seems incredibely useful. Termux is all about automation at first for most users rather than using seperate app that cost money like tasker. storage-get from api lib can allow to open file picker and selected multiple files by user gets return as realpath as array we can do a lot of file operations currently we have to lean upon bash select menus or tui tools like dialog etc but thats not easy option specially for novice. Also when we have to select files scattered in long list of 100s of files in directory scrolling and selecting files in tui is tedious leveraging android ui file picker allows quickly selecting scatterred files in folder if Devs just implement activity manager like tool but which supports getActivityResult() it would open a hell lot of ui automation facilities using termux hope some dev reads this and takes some initiative @Grimler91 |
This would be really useful. The changes are simple but make the usage of termux-storage-get so much better. Right now, you have to rely on hacks to do anything. I feel like the features in this PR should have been implemented from the start honestly. |
This goal of this request is to enrich termux-storage-get to what "Open ..." and "Open Folder ..." usually do in PC, while keeping backward compatibility.
