Dear contributors to Galaxy who are tagged in this PR:

Since 2021-04-07, Galaxy required MIT licensing for contributions.

We would like to re-license your prior contributions under the MIT license. This will help the entire project to switch to the MIT license from the Academic Free License which caused problems for packagers like Debian.

Please approve this pull request to signal your approval of this license change.

@mr-c unfortunately my (admittedly small) contributions to this repository were made as part of my prior employment with UT Southwestern Medical Center, under what I understand to be 'work for hire', and therefore it would be their decision to approve re-licensing them if that's necessary. I don't think there was any DCO / CLA process in use at the time?

I no longer have any interaction with UTSW, but if you need to pursue approval I believe the administration of the Dept. Bioinformatics could help - https://www.utsouthwestern.edu/departments/bioinformatics/contact/

Apologies I can't just tick approve.

We understand; perhaps your contributions have since been refactored out. Thanks again for being a member and contributor to the Galaxy Community!

I'd guess that would be likely. I'm afraid due to my novice git/GH skills back then there are some commits not associated with my username that should be visible on PRs, e.g. (https://github.com/galaxyproject/galaxy/pull/75/commits). But, I'd hope that yes they would all be refactored out by now.
