I'm curious, what happens to repos that don't have recent commits?

In a public repository, scheduled workflows are automatically disabled when no repository activity has occurred in 60 days.

See https://docs.github.com/en/actions/using-workflows/disabling-and-enabling-a-workflow

And we have several scheduled workflows that we want to keep enabled, even if the repo itself does not get any updates (an example being https://github.com/exercism/backup)
