### Deploying to AWS Dev Environment
While we use [Terraform](https://github.com/dydxprotocol/v4-terraform) to describe our infrastructure, we use
[orb](https://github.com/dydxprotocol/orb) to deploy services. On merging to master branch, we automatically build
ECR images of each service for both the dev/staging environments (see .github/workflows directory). However, if you
want to test and deploy local changes, you can use the `scripts/deploy-commit-to-dev.sh` script.

### Replicating a production environment with the load-tester
To test the Indexer APIs/websockets, orders need to placed and matched on the V4 application that the
Indexer is connected to.
To do this locally, run a local instance of the
[load-tester](https://github.com/dydxprotocol/load-tester) against the local V4 node the Indexer
services are connected to.

NOTE: Follow the instructions in the `load-tester` repo to set up a loadtester instance executing
the match making strategy to generate order fills and position updates in the V4 network for the
Indexer to process.

## Redeploying
The docker image for each container must be rebuilt for each code change or update to `Dockerfile.local`.
