Your query index definition file is named query-index.yaml which isn't recognized by Franklin. It should be named helix-query.yaml instead (see https://github.com/adobe/blog/blob/main/helix-query.yaml)

For that reason, entries in the blog index were no longer correctly updated since 8 September (an auto-generated index definition has taken over) and topic pages suddenly started to appear in the index, because they were no longer excluded.

I fixed the english index (/en/query-index.xlsx) and overwrote the index definition in our S3 codebus with the contents of query-index.yaml in your GitHub repo.

Another observation: you now also have a root index /query-index.xlsx, containing a mixture of articles and topics - is that intentional, or did it happen because an auto-generated index definition was generated??
