Best practices from GDGs to record sessions. Feel free to add yours. If you need access to edit page, check out this

  • Mevo audio : I captured @BradFitz at a golang meetup in a cafe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXunpLkrmvI&t=251s

  • Unfortunately captive portals are blocked by Mevo. This means Mevo cannot connect to secure guest wi-fi at Google, Comcast, Amazon. One workaround is to use phone LTE. Caution Mevo uses about 1 Gig of data per hour. Another workaround is have the network administrator white list Mevo's mac address! Generally if a ChromeCast will connect to the wi-fi network, Mevo will also connect.

  • I captured Laurence Moroney of Firebase team speaking at Google Kirkland using a Samsung Chromebook Pro and YouTube creator studio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0RoMjR-dy0

  • This is best free option to record GDG. Post a link to speakers deck in the YouTube video notes.

  • For best results connect to fast wi-fi and power/charged battery. Position the notebook computer camera on and close to the speaker to capture quality picture and audio.

  • GDG organizers currently find YouTube Creator Studio beta on their GDG Chapter page right hand drop down menu under Chapter logo and your user name. To access YT Creator Studio, make sure you are signed into YouTube with your correct email identity (associated with GDG organizers chapter).
