DevFest 2016
The most fun times of the year is around the corner. We collected all the information shared and resources about DevFest 2016 in this page. _If you think there is a missing info, please ping nyener@google.com to add to the page. _
September 1st to November 30st
DevFest should include at least one Firebase or PWA session this year. Both are exciting new technologies from Google. We would love it if you featured both. You are welcome to have sessions about other technologies.
If you are planning a speaker session based event you should consider, ideally, more than one track. You can consider code labs as a 'track'.
To be consider a DevFest your event should be at least 5 hours

👍 Web : https://codelabs.developers.google.com/?cat=Web
👍 I/O Codelabs : https://codelabs.developers.google.com/io2016
You can find all other code labs at [https://codelabs.developers.google.com]
You can also use the gContent for your code labs.
We always encourage diversity into all areas of expertise, especially in our communities. In a global level you should consider have more women as attendees, speakers and also organizers in your events. But we know there’s a lot of regional minorities who you should consider to empower/engage at your event too.
Aim 20% women attendees and 20% women speakers on the stage. You can collaborate with WTM chapters in your city.
coming soon
We will sponsor your events $15/attendee. You need to fill the sponsorship request form. You will get an approval email once your sponsorship request has been approved.
We might find Googler speakers or GDEs in your area. Please let us know which technologies you need a speaker in the sponsorship form. No promises, but we will try.
We would like to hear about your events. You will find the report link here soon.
