Build‐up
Build-up means helping to convert the ULB campus from its normal state to FOSDEM. It means moving a lot of equipment around, covering walls with brown paper and adding signs so people don't get lost.
You'll be working in teams of two and the coordination is done by the per-building coordinator. Normally, you'll start in one building and then move to other buildings depending on demand.
- Cover up the university announcement boards with brown paper.
- Kit out devrooms with signs and garbage bags.
- Build up stands (tables, chairs, power cords, table cloths and signs).
- Put up FOSDEM signage.
- Place garbage bins throughout the building.
- Tape off safety equipment.
- Build up the cloak room (tables and signs).
- Build up the infodesk (tables, chairs, table cloths and signs).
- It is February, it might be chilly or rainy. Best to bring a coat and some warm clothing.
- Bring some worker gloves. We will have some, but probably not enough.
- Come to the H infodesk (H-2 - purple dot).

| 12:00 - 13:00 | Aim to arrive at the ULB. It's not a problem if you are a bit later, we will be busy till about 21:00. Note that there is no lunch provided! |
| 13:00 - 18:00 | Build-up. You'll be working with the per-building coordinator and general coordination will be done by the volunteers team. |
| 18:00 - 19:30 | Build-up of K. |
| 19:30 - 20:30 | Dinner. We provide the food for this one. |
| 20:30 - 21:30 | Finishing touches. You don't have to stay till the end, if you can help us till the dinner, we're already very grateful. |
