(Please refer to the image and video in the original Post.) You only need to set several points, and a smooth surface will be generated based on these points.
After we carefully adjust the position of the point and click Apply, the two sides of the surface will be finely divided automatically and two new segments will be generated.
As an aside, I'm only using this feature in the split lung so far, so only two new segments will be generated, one on each side of the surface.
Would love to see this feature implemented! We're trying to do similar volumetric calculations on livers; currently we're able to create and define a resection plane that reflects the surgical plan, but it would be great to have the calculated volumes of both liver halves.
