Are you looking for another file format with which to get your data into VisIt? You may try the Silo File Format. Or another of these file formats. Blueprint is very easy to work with. |

Hello,
I'm trying to analyze an h5 file with several quantities -- scalar like rho, temperature, and vector like and B -- on a simple rectangular 3D mesh (model of a solar corona). The h5 files have relatively simple structure, however the information about spatial extent is stored separately in the file, as 3 "linear" arrays
xm
,ym
,zm
. So, when I do lineouts of the quantities and compare files with different size/scale -- the first file has 121x121x121 pixels and spans from -2 to +2 in each coord, while the second one has 501x501x501 and spans from -5 to +5 in each coord -- I get very different profiles, with grid coordinates, not the physical extents. Thus I need to create a new mesh with proper coordinates ... or do something else. Can you suggest which direction should I go?
The file information for the smaller file says (both files have similar structure)
