Infinite loop / CPU gobbling problem

Great work, I really like the output format of this encoder.

I've had to disable it for local development purposes though, much to my chagrin. I keep running into an issue where some kind of logging output causes the encoder to chew up CPU until the host machine locks up. The problem doesn't occur with the default zap DevelopmentLogger.

It's a bummer, because I don't have time to really dig into it right now, but I did want to put this out there to see if anyone else had encountered this issue.
