MPS Apple Silicon GPU not detected when using "use_gpu=True"

The Apple Silicon GPU (MPS) is not detected, even when using use_gpu=True.
Is there any way to use the MPS GPU?

Not possible - we make extensive use of PackedSequence, which is bugged on mps. We might try NestedTensor to see if that fixes the problem
