I think the best way to do this would simply be to incorporate their list into ours, with an attribution clearly somewhere. |
@JosephMcArthur My only issue with that is that our database centres mainly around geographical location (a way to find regional experts) which this database doesn't provide — importing it would create a lot of location-less entries. I could deduce manually by looking at the affiliation though. Thoughts? |
So they have a map, but no human readable country info. I bridged the gap

It's doing a reasonable job (although I think will define people by
their orgs location, not theirs).
The next challenge would usually be deduping & merging, as we have many of
these people. I'm not going to do this now, but the openspeakers sheet
already has good deduping support (so we can bulk import and it should
flag). If we want to be extra careful we can do an initial dedup with a
bespoke sheet on the full names, then another by second name. That should
catch most.
