One putting together posts yesterday I started to consider when it made sense to linkout and when it made sense to repost openly licenced content.
In the end, I thought it made sense for things to be reposted when:
the place we're linking to is a bad reading experience
we control the place we're linking to
we can add significant value in the repost (e.g adding an image)
we only want a small part of a big piece
This can be closed when the instructions for editing have been updated & posts have been changed to follow this (right now I've just always linked out)

I think there was an embargo of sorts, but we were sending it from Thursday last week so I think you're fine. It's been a good state for 1+ weeks anyway, so no harm done!
