Latest version of homebridge. Latest version of this plugin BUT manually updated to the latest version of the eufy-node-client (this solved the streaming reliability). Edit: apparently, this wasn’t needed. And yet, it did result in streaming working. Must have been a coincidence. Ffmpeg is installed. The eufy app is at v3.01 and eufy notifications had stopped working for me. Now they are working fine having deleted and reinstalled the eufy app. This suggests that one conclusion is perhaps notification implementation might have changed on eufy’a end? Streaming works well from HomeKit, whether from phone, Mac or Apple TV. Notifications for motion do not work. Notifications for a doorbell press do not work - not on phone, homepods or Apple TV. Logs do not show motion or doorbell presses being registered. But, no other errors are being thrown and the alarm system status changes work well. |

Doorbell model version number of this HomeBridge plugin version of HomeBridge (or HOOBS) if you have ffmpeg installed and what version If you have notifications turned on in the Eufy app Check and see if RTSP selected in the settings in the Eufy app what parts work and what doesn't Interestingly after updating the Eufy App to 3.0.1 from 2.9.7 (I had to uninstall and reinstall as IOS didn't show an update) the camera streaming now seems to work 9 out of 10 times, where before it worked 1 out of 10 times. 13/06/2021, 12:36:36 [HOOBS 1CBA@HomeKit Camera Active] The write handler for the characteristic 'HomeKit Camera Active' on the accessory 'Front Door' didn't respond at all!. Please check that you properly call the callback! {"name":"eufyLog","hostname":"hoobs","pid":15475,"level":50,"msg":"Error: Error: read ETIMEDOUT\n at TLSWrap.onStreamRead (internal/stream_base_commons.js:209:20) {\n errno: -110,\n code: 'ETIMEDOUT',\n syscall: 'read'\n}","time":"2021-06-13T11:39:45.236Z","v":0} The "Snapshot" image does not refresh when opening the home app. with this showing in the logs: I have not received a single notification for doorbell rings (i have motion alerts turned off in the Eufy app so I was not expecting those), I have all the notifications enabled in the Home app however. When the doorbell rings I get notified fine from the Eufy app but nothing in the Home app. There is nothing in the logs when the doorbell rings. I just restarted the Hoobs service and here is everything Eufy from the logs: When I stream the camera I get this (I open the stream successfully and then close the stream): The app update has made a big difference to the streaming issue, which is odd. Please let me thank you for doing this, I have been waiting for a plugin for this doorbell for so long! (I had to totally reset Hoobs and re-add all my accessories into homekit to make this work earlier as I had a stuck doorbell cam from a previous plugin that clashed!) I hope the information i have given helps, please let me know if you want me to do anything else to help troubleshoot. Im more than happy to assist in anyway i can to make this a really great plugin!! |

My other half had no notifications from the eufy app for a few days. She’s just updated the app and eufy notifications now work again. So, that’s the mystery of eufy notifications going missing and maybe a reason why HomeKit notifications have stopped working: something has changed of eufy’s end? |

Everything is working, save notifications for me. The logs show motion or ringing being captured (and the time stamps match the motion captured in the Eufy app), but no notification from the Home app. Sample logs for reference:-

As of 0.2.3, I can no longer stream doorbell video from the Home app. No error is thrown, but the stream never starts. The account is not locked. Streaming works fine on the Eufy website and on the app.
On the positive side, I am getting notifications on the HomePods, Apple TV and via the Home app for rings at the doorbell, although they are somewhat delayed in my initial testing. EDIT: uninstalled, re-installed, restarted homebridge, phone and streaming now working. |

With the latest update ringing notifications are now working fine for me. Motion notifications are not yet working in the Home app although the event itself seems to be recognized correctly:

I'm receiving errors in the log regarding retrieval of snapshots from my Eufy Doorbell. See below for details.

Hi just installed your plugin for my new eufy battery 2k doorbell - my current config consists of 3 Hikvision cams linked via homebridge ffmpeg camera plugin with camera smtp plugin for motion activation. So I know my ffmpeg install works... 3.1.2 Homebase 2 - 2.1.6.9h Running native within raspbian on rpi3+ I'll run tests on what works and what doesn't and report back |

I think I have everything working at present. The alarm, motion and ring alerts are all working in app and in HomeKit. I get streaming no issue. We have 500 meg fibre broadband, so perhaps this helps. The only thing that doesn’t work correctly - as is mentioned elsewhere - is the motion alert notifications from HomeKit provide an image capture of the previous motion/ring, not what’s actually just happened. |

Thanks. It’s not really a big deal and the work thus far is awesome. Thank you so much. |

So after the 0.2.5 failed updateX back to 0.2.4 and live feed shows me this.... Of course as before, on preview you get the last snapshot. As you can it was sunny this afternoon 😎 Even if you update the camera snapshot from the camera app - you still get the same old one in homebridge. I know this is being actively worked on - just an update. |

Just installed with my Battery doorbell and streaming doesn't seem to work. I get the white logo, and every time the logs show: [7/4/2021, 1:30:06 PM] [EufySecurity] Device appears to be inactive. Stopping stream. Front Door [7/4/2021, 1:30:06 PM] [EufySecurity] Stopped video stream. Front Door` But I would like to add an interesting data point. If I log into https://mysecurity.eufylife.com/#/login and start the video stream there, it suddenly works in the Home app. But only when actively streaming at eufylife in the browser. |

Still not getting live feed - battery 2k doorbell Can get live feed from native app Doorbell chime in HomeKit - works Running latest version of plugin. Apple TV snapshot works when doorbell is pressed I don't have motion enabled as I have other cams for that I think I've explained my setup in these discussions before. I too get the blank image with a No response text in the snapshot preview |

Since update 0.2.13, video stream only seems to work one out of every two times. Also, every time I access my Battery 2K Doorbell camera in Home app, Eufy sends me an email with a one-time security code, even though I am using a separate guest account without two-factor authentication. No audio, or playback of HKSV recording available. On the good side, the doorbell chimes on my Home-Pods and when I can get the video stream, it shows up on all my Apple devices. Snapshot in HomeKit works. Snapshot when viewing doorbell preview - shows last picture OK. When the stream fails, it freezes on iPhone as in attached photo: What is the Polling Interval (in Minutes) under Optional Settings used for? I appreciate your great work on this project! Thanks a lot! |

Another data point to consider/Wired 2K doorbell/Curren Homebridge/...V 1.00-rc.0. Also receiving the "Not Responding" error. Tried re-installing, wizard re-setup, etc. No luck...But then re-tried and disabled Eufy Homebase and two cameras associated with that (which has native Homekit support anyway) via the plugin configuration options. Then...doorbell streaming worked. I have no idea if it was a refresh of the configuration or an actual conflict with Homebase. |

FYI I am seeing this in the log. The “Xnew cameraX” is a single device. It shows multiple accessories (motion, and 2 switches) Also has it’s own “homebase siren” type device with armed/home etc: [19/08/2021, 15:35:38] [EufySecurity] Restoring existing accessory from cache: Homebase |

Hello,
Looking to get a better understanding of what works and what doesn't with the doorbell. I attempted to implement the Livestream for it but I don't actually have the doorbell myself (yet at least) so I can't test.
It appears it works for some and not for others. Let's use this discussion to collect data. Please comment with the following info:
Hopefully, this can help determine what bugs exist.
Thanks!
