The Tolomatic drive configuration software allows for selection of User units as follows:

  • SI Linear
  • SI Rotary
  • US Linear
  • US Rotary

The selected units may cause problems, for example, with Joint State position reporting; where it is expected that current position is reported in mm and converted to m.

It should be investigated if there is some indication from the EIP interface (perhaps it will require some other explicit message) to determine configured user units, and report erroneous/incompatible configuration conditions.
