Hi,

I discover this project at FOSS4G-fr 2018 and I'm also a geologist. I would like to discover Geolllibre more in depth! I wonder if there is some documentation available. Of course I can take time to read the code but for a quick overview it might be useful to have a more user friendly documentation. There is a presentation available but it only introduce the project and I can't find anything else over the Internet.
Is there somewhere a document that helps beginner to try and play with PostGeol and utilities?

Thank's.

Sorry, I took some time to reply... I'm on the move since the week before, without a stable Internet connexion: pretty hard to keep up; I'll be back home in a few days, things should be better, after that.

Thanks for your interest.

I'm afraid that there is no documentation, right now... But wait! It's just time to write it!

I had written a report concerning the drill hole database part (which is the largest part of PostGeol), but that was a confidential report for one of my clients. I must correct it, remove everything that is confidential, so that it may be a good base to start with (although the database structure has evolved significantly since I wrote that report).

What I'll do is take this document, modify it, amend it, make it public (wiki?) and re-create the whole database from scratch, while writing documentation, as I'll implement another instance of PostGeol. There's quite a bit of work to be done, with a lot of cleaning-up, some refactoring.

À+

Sounds great like that, let me know if I can help on something. Just consider that I don't know rebol at all but I have some skills in SQL and PostgreSQL/Postgis.

Hi, sorry for the delay.

Super! You're more than welcome to criticize, modify, append, swear, delete, etc.
I'm currently resuming work on PostGeol, I'm implementing it on a server, and it needs some changes.
While reconsidering the data structure, I stumbled upon an old (well, not so much: 2014) documentation that I wrote.
I just pushed it to the repository.

This doesn't change my plans of implementing the database step by step, while writing the documentation. This document can be used as a template, most of it is still valid, as far as I can remember.
