Describe the issue

I want to delete the sample projects. I don't want them to appear -- especially the users' survey which makes external connections -- and i don't want them taking up space (#5922)

Reproduction steps

Install QField. Import a project of one's own. Go to home screen, and select "open local file". Click around everywhere, trying to visit every node and menu, and look for a way to delete the sample projects. (Don't actually open them, because that isn't wanted.)

Expected behavior

  1. Sample projects should not be installed unless requested. A first-run wizard that asks if they should be installed, and a "install sample" in the settings menu seem reasonable.

  2. Once installed, they should be deletable.

Observed behavior

The sample projects are there anyway, and I can't figure out how to delete them.

I'm stopping there in details because I believe this is a design problem not a coding problem.

QField (please complete the following information)

  • Device: Pixel
  • OS: A15(CalyxOS)
  • QField version: 3.4.7 apk from this repo
