Superhub 4 parser stops working after some time #2
Comments
Since Virgin Media simply do not care. To deal with this I am now restarting the SH4 on nights it has issues https://github.com/msh100/sh4-restarter |
The stats totally break in the Router UI too - it shows as offline with empty tables. I'm surprised VM won't fix this! |
It's very odd, I think I am just unable to get through to someone who understands the problem. |
I don't know if you've tried, but posting in their forums and hoping a moderator sees it might be the only way forward. The phone support are unlikely to understand the issue as I suppose its a bit of a niche case. |
For this particular issue, no. I have used community forums to report a nationwide issue before and they sent an engineer to my house... so I don't have high confidence in their ability to assist. I contacted an employee through a 3rd party forum who passed it on, and the response was "this is not supported" |
I'm undecided if I care enough about the stats to need to keep power cycling my hub. I've gone ahead and posted on the VM forums here, can't hurt right? https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Tech-Chatter/Hub-4-stats-break-blank-stop-loading-after-a-period-of-time/m-p/4881889 |
After querying for a while, the Superhub 4 parser stops working. This is because the statistics from the router itself is broken.
The output from http://192.168.0.1/php/ajaxGet_device_networkstatus_data.php becomes:
This issue has been seen on both the Superhub 4s I have tested.
I've not been able to report this to Virgin yet.
