Windows 10 notification is cleared from action center when notification window closes #126
Comments
Same for me! As long as you don't click the notification to interact with it, it should be collected in the action center. |
The issue is already reported in #65 and unfortunately still open. We are waiting for someone brave enough to challenge it :-) |
Oh. While browsing the open issues I was a little bit irritated by the title. I thought the notification doesn´t show up anyway. And I found the issue XD. You have to go to Settings, System, Notifications & actions, click on Thunderbird and enable showing notifications in the action center. |
Well, the setting is there (I didn't know about it before, too!)... but it doesn't change the behaviour for me. Clicking the notification and letting them time out, both don't make them appear in the action center! Same for you @T4GTR43UM3R ? |
You're using a installed version of Thunderbird? |
Yep... as expected. It works with the installed version of Thunderbird. Portable isn't working though! That's why I got confused in the windows settings, I have TB installed for testing and therefore it was displayed in the notification settings. |
I'm glad that it works for you too. But it is strange that it only works with the installed version. I have several other portable apps installed on my pc and there is no problem with notifications. |
I use other portable apps with notifications as well, all good. |

I have to click on the Thunderbird headline to open. |
In Windows 10 64 bit the notification window appears by default for 5 seconds. After the window disappears the notifications are cleared in the action center. This happens with Firefox 47.0.1 and with Thunderbird 45.2.0.
