How are people using events?

I've never done any obsidian plugin development, so I'm curious how others are using the events added in #79

Personally I would want to be able to listen for tasks being updated so I can move their notes into subfolders to keep things organized. I can think of lots of other ways to improve workflow using events but not sure how to put them to use.

Is there another community plugin (maybe dataview?) that can listen to these events IFTTT style? Or is the best way to develop my own plugin to do this, which seems like maybe too much effort for the payoff.
