Tylar: I notice the WP theme we are using is LabtechCO, which is a paid theme. Was this theme purchased by MBON? Will we continue to get updates from the theme publisher? Does the purchased license allow us to use the theme on other websites or is one-site-only?

Eli: Yes, is a paid theme. The license expires in 22 days, you can check here: https://themeforest.net/item/labtechco-laboratory-research-wordpress-theme/22529255 It’s only for 1 website. You can buy the extended license if you want. I think you still get updates, but maybe is bets to extend it.

Tylar: How do we receive the updates? Dan may need access to the licensing information in order to extend support if needed. It is MBON that should be picking up the bill on this, but we may end up eating it like we did the bluehost plan.

Eli: Attached is the license information. I used my account to initially buy the theme but when you renew it you can type the CC you want. I think the same WP admin dashboard will advise when is time to renew. Right now nothing shows up because it’s still current.

Tylar: We will wait to see what happens. The attached files are only the legal text of the actual licenses.

I was surprised to see a GPL in there; that means we have a legal right to the full source code of the application since they re-purposed some GPL source code to build their product.
