Reverting the new YouTube layout

I'm here with another request, I hope you don't mind, this is not acute, but it's about the new YT layout. I'm sure many of you have heard, or even seen the new experimental YouTube UI, here's an example: https://lifehacker.com/tech/how-to-undo-youtubes-terrible-new-layout

How about a toggle that switches back the YouTube to the old layout? There are userscripts and ublock origin filters that do it, but come MV3 at least the Ublock Origin filters will stop working as Ublock Origin Lite does not have a powerful custom filtering engine.

How viable would it be to have code to revert the YouTube layout to the old one? Again I personally don't have the new layout, but I've seen many others that do have it

Thanks for the idea! I don't personally have that new layout either so it will be hard for me to implement/test. I'll try to do it if YouTube rolls that feature out to me.
