At AMIA, I was talking with Leon Rozenblit of Prometheus Research after his panel presentation and he reminded me that i2b2 has a bespoke license, which means potential users may have to spend legal resources reviewing it.
When I first read the license, I thought it was MPL ( https://opensource.org/licenses/MPL-2.0 ) but in his experience, it's different enough that laywers have to study it. And now that I look at it, it is quite different.
I suggest you adopt an approved OSI license while you're changing the license to reflect copyright transfer to the i2b2 / transmart foundation. (The copyright is being transferred, yes?)
