I am interested in this project, and would like to try extending it for the Twotrees SK1 printer. I just downloaded fresh Nextion Editor v1.65.1, and tried to open LCD_program.HMI. Unfortunately the editor states "Wrong Hmifile or Hmifile has been damaged". What editor shall I use for the screen layout editing?

You need to open it in the chinese version of the software (USART HMI) which is posted on the unofficialnexion forum (http://wiki.tjc1688.com/download/usart_hmi.html). Looks like all the pictures and menu items will need to be remade for the SK1 not sure if there is a way to extract the stock UI to use as a starting point. At least then we have the bridge portion open sourced and someone can make a nicer UI.

Imho the pictures and items/icons aren't that important, it would be great already if it would somehow get the necessary info from Klipper/Moonraker and could be used as a 'general' solution which could be used with any kind of printer that's running Klipper.. :)

@grafalex82 any more progress on this? I also have an SK1 and would love to be able to reuse the stock screen with an upgraded armbian install.
