Formatting in editor stops after HTML block #98

Just noticed that the formatting of headers and such stops if an HTML block is inserted. My case is:

# A correctly formatted title.
<img src="some.image" alt="whatever text" style="width:70%;">
a paragraph. 
# A non formatted title. 
and so is the rest of the document. 
- lists
- do work.
