Merge (MIDI) song prediction hackathlon code

I recall someone wrote song prediction during one of the first hackathons,
merge here

@breznak PS: Looks like a VM image may have had this within at some point. Directory referred to is /nupic-3rdparty/hackathon1/snikolov/song (from nupic wiki https://github.com/numenta/nupic/wiki/Running-NuPIC-in-a-Virtual-Machine#directory-structure). Now would anyone have an old VM image to check? I have the NUPIC-03_11_2014 VM OVA, but the two hackathon directories are empty.
