airplay 2 stops responding after some time

Describe the bug
when HifiberryOS has been running for a couple of days it becomes impossible to stream
music to it over airplay (tried multiple source devices)
only fix I found is to reboot hifiberryOS.
I tried connecting only to wifi, only ethernet and both, but it doesn't change a thing

HiFiBerry sound card
AMP2 on a RPi 3B+

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. boot Hifiberry OS
2. enable airplay
3. try to stream music over airplay, it works
4. do not use it for a couple of days
5. try to stream music over airplay, it doesn't work

Expected behavior
that no reboot is required to have airplay working at any time
