### About me

Shilpa has 10+ years of experience as a data scientist in various companies in the San Francisco / Bay Area where she has solved some hard business problems, done innovative work and delivered customer-impacting solutions. Currently she is an Adjunct Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at San Jose State University. She is passionate about statistics / data science pedagogy and volunteers her time mentoring middle/high school girls through More Active Girls In Computing and AI4ALL. She holds a doctorate in Industrial Engineering (Applied Statistics with minor in Optimization).

Shilpa is a certified Mental Health First Aider.
