A status is the condition of a specific network (or system) at a specific point in time, or during a specific period.
Systemic status is especially influenced by the active condition of, or values of, the most critical variables in a system.
Status states, but it may do so indirectly via formal contexts. For example, authoritative agents may assign values to cells in databases.
A status may often describe qualitative variables and/or dimensional variables. For example, the status of a pot of water may describe that it's currently located on a stovetop burner, and full of water which is boiling at a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius.
