Definition

Intercommunity is the networking of communities.

Notes

Most if not all communities already have indirect and unofficial networked relationships with each other. Many communities also are directly related via the official traits of collectives.

The term intercommunity reflects the concept that all group agents are designed (and inherently artificial.) To fully explore intercommunity potential, agents could combine consent-based decision process with inclusive options for personal media access, participation, and distributed version control for agreements at all hierarchical levels of complexly related goals and activities.   Agents could also develop per-person agreements which flexibly granulate, aggregate and iterate official relationships across the limits of existing group agents and networks.

Some "feed-based" social media activities already suggest the potential power of intercommunity.  For example, people can join and leave many Facebook groups, subreddits or team chat channels whenever they desire to, dynamically customizing their interactions and experiences with those networks.  Group agents could extend such dynamically localizing social traits to the development and distribution of consent-based agreements, as well as the discussion topics, forums and governance tools which agents link to them.
