While installing apps from Flathub through AppCenter I noticed they defaulted to a placeholder star icon. Only happens when installing trough AppCenter, installing flatpaks as user through terminal works as expected - and appears to fix any missing icons.
Steps to Reproduce
Install a flatpak through AppCenter selecting the "Flatpak" option (not Flatpak (system-wide))
Icons will be shown as placeholders
Expected Behavior
Intalling flatpaks as user and icons showing up as expected.
OS Version
8.x (Circe)
Session Type
Secure Session (Wayland)
Software Version
Latest release (I have run all updates)

This is so annoying, been struggling. I have a solution for this, instead of App Center, I use Flathub to download and sideload - which is super easy! To manage, delete app data, uninstall - I use Warehouse app.
