Steps to reproduce

  1. Scroll on any conversation (even the conversation list is laggy)

Explanatory video:
The first app is legacy Element Android
The second app that I open is Element X Android:

Outcome

What did you expect?

While my phone is not the fastest horse in the herd, I'm expecting comparable performances (or event better performances) from Element X compared to the legacy Element.

What happened instead?

The app is very laggy when I try to scroll on a conversation.
I tried:

  • Flushing the cache
  • Deleting all app data
    Nothing helped.

But fully reinstalling the app did improve a lot the issue. However, the app still feels more slow than the previous one

Your phone model

Samsung S8 Exynos

Operating system version

Android 12 - e/OS 2.7

Application version and app store

Element X 0.7.6

Homeserver

Will you send logs?

Are you willing to provide a PR?
