Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Element X
  2. Change your phone theme from light to dark or vice versa

Outcome

What did you expect?

The theme in Element X to change.

What happened instead?

The theme doesn't change until I close and reopen Element X.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G

Operating system version

Android 13

Application version and app store

Element X 0.7.5

Homeserver

This could be a vendor-specific issue, I actually have a different one in OxygenOS where changing the theme manually using the OS settings works fine, but changing the theme automatically on a schedule doesn't work until I rotate the phone and there is some kind of UI recomposition based on layout size (not an activity recreation AFAICT).

I then tried to reproduce this several times using several emulators or another device and I was never able to.
