Is there a package for Ubuntu 21.04? The README indicates not, but also warns against installing from source.

Unfortunately, there isn't...

Hopefully, someone with "deb" skills can step up and build a package/repo.

My knowledge is on the CentOS/RHEL only at the moment.

DO NOTE: GNOME has begun to restrict private APIs access for general user space. espencially for the latter release. you gotta find another tools like obs or use use xwaylandvideobridge as you solution.
