Can't show locally served COGs via stac-browser. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

I'm exploring eoAPI and stac-browser. I populated pgstac catalog with collections and items and for each item a single asset pointing to a COG file served via simple server over a folder.

COGs are served correctly and I can browser any COG as vsicurl reource in QGIS and the server correctly show all http range requests from gdal client used by QGIS.

I would have expected I be able to show COG asset also in stac browser. but:

1. I receive only few range requests from stac-browser only when opening the item (not showing any overview but only BBOX)
2. If I ask to "Show on map" the asset (eg. the url of the COG), only a little and undersampled image is shown and no more range requested are set
3. Because I suppose titiler is that responsible to ask for tiles (via range requests) to give back to stac-browser, I would expect titiler.pgstac requests dumped in the eoAPI logs but nothing.
4. If I directly ask for titiler api GET /collections/6019/items/6019-lvl02-color/info?assets=asset I receive:
   { "detail": "'/vsicurl/http://127.0.0.1:8000/cogs/6019-Lvl02-Color.tif' does not exist in the file system, and is not recognized as a supported dataset name." }

probably I'm missing some step more to put titiler at work over local assets.

p.s. NOTE I run docker compose adding this env var to titiler:

      - TITILER_PGSTAC_API_ENABLE_ASSETS_ENDPOINTS=TRUE
      - TITILER_PGSTAC_API_ENABLE_COLLECTIONS_ENDPOINTS=TRUE
      - TITILER_PGSTAC_API_ENABLE_EXTERNAL_DATASET_ENDPOINTS=TRUE
      - TITILER_PGSTAC_API_DEBUG=TRUE

p.p.s. note demos work correctly over remotely served catalogues

probably I need to create a search query before. "Before being able to create Map Tiles, the user needs to register a Search Query" I wrongly assumed that there would be a default search query for each asset in case of "Show on map". Not clear to me why demos allow "show on map" just adding collections/items to pgstac.

for some reason, layer.getBounds() in stac-browser (or in stac-layer) is giving back wrong BBOX. then fitBounds() seems to work correctly downsampling to fit to really small BBOX

buff... am I wrong but in eoAPI config.js
buildTileUrlTemplate: ({href, asset}) => "http://0.0.0.0:8082/cog/tiles/{z}/{x}/{y}@2x does not match any titiler.pgstac api ?

only http://127.0.0.1:8000/cogs/6018-Lvl02-Color.tif in the asset link, looked where /vsicurl is added in titiler or titler.pgstac but nothing => is it added by pgstac directly as response to titiler.pgstac?

This might be a docker configuration issue then because titiler-pgstac docker service is trying to reach another service using localhost (127.0.0.1)

I receive some http range requests to http://127.0.0.1:8000 during browsing stac catalog via stac-browser (directly from stac browser from 8085), but no requests from 8082.
I'll try to move my server in the docker networks in case it is a newbie docker network error.

exactly the same error as in #202 (reply in thread) when run the COG server inside the docker-compose.yaml e.g. using the same docker network :/ (nor changing port)
