What is needed to merge branch kafka-0.10 into master?

Work in kafka-0.10 is unfinished. Though it's probably not a bad idea since the whole library is a WIP.

I'll look into merging it this week.

Have you had a chance to merge it? is there anything needs to be done in this kafka version to be merged?

Any update on this? Work in the kafka-0.10 branch is already falling behind, especially with regards to things like null safety, and it would be nice to know where to concentrate development effort.
