OS: Solus (https://solus-project.com/)
Version: hanzifreq 1.0

Hanzifreq was recently accepted to be added to the Solus repositories, however I was just informed that there are problems to get it packaged. You can track the issue here: https://dev.solus-project.com/T3969

According to Justin from the Solus development team:

This isn't really possible to package properly @baimafeima as combine_freq requires the template directory to be present where you're running it. I've packaged it but you'd have to do the following every time you want to use the combine function:

cp -r /usr/share/hanzifreq/tempate .
 cp -r /usr/share/hanzifreq/output .

Is there anything that can be done to solve this problem? Many thanks for looking into this.

A command line paramater would be nice, that way users can run hanzifreq --template /usr/share/hanzifreq/template /path/to/in_folder

@czielinski What do you think about Justins suggestions?

@czielinski I've suggested to integrate Hanzifreq into Syng, a Chinese dictionary and learning app currently under heavy development. Would you support such a project?

@baimafeima, thanks for the interest in my project! And yes, you have my blessings, feel free to make use of my code if it helps your own project. Unfortunately I won't be able to contribute actively anymore as I simply cannot find the time. The required changes should be easy to implement though.
