The current Mode 01 designs do not properly transmit the first packet for some reason. This is not a showstopper, but should be investigated why this is happening.

vegas_hpc_hbw always reports the following after a successful arm/sync:

Warning (vegas_net_thread): Incorrect pkt size
Debug: observation started
Warning (vegas_net_thread): First packet number is not 0 (seq_num=2049)
