That depends on the AdminLte.. but yes, they are already working on a version with bootstrap5 https://github.com/ColorlibHQ/AdminLTE/tree/v4-dev

As far as I can see on their page the Bootstrap 5 version of AdminLTE already exists.

Not quite. It's in alpha2

ColorlibHQ/AdminLTE#3692

It exists but still has a while until it's a stable release.
