Change UI when clicking on "Connect" before connecting #1

Right now the UI freezes as soon you click on "Connect" in the little direct/connect window.
Just change the UI before the actual connect event gets emitted so it looks more like something is happening.
As for now, it feels like you didn't click on "Connect" and try again until something is happening.
