I'm maintaining this AUR package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sioyek-devel
The main differences are that along with it using the git development branch which is always up-to-date, it builds the package using cmake.
This means that arch linux users no longer have to use the app image version with huge sizes and the package is around 4mb only.
we are waiting on #1271 to be merged before it can be completely working.
