can't detect gb2312

I have a unit test for gb2312 and it passes https://github.com/aadsm/jschardet/blob/master/tests/jschardet.js#L220-L224
I'm not sure what could be failing I would need to debug to see where the engine is stopping but to be honest I don't have the time right now.
Is this something you could debug yourself?
