Looking for a more detailed explanation of allowed/disallowed apps

There is a couple of scenarios that don't seem to work as expected, here they are:

I currently have chrome and discord in my allowed apps and nothing in disallowed

1. there are still some websites that don't allow access (like chatGPT which is blocked in my country), even though the same config works for that purpose with regular wireguard client

2. unless i explicitly put "game_name" into disallowed apps the traffic from that game is routed through VPN and i get bad ping, even though "game_name" is not in the allowed apps

Also the last thing is not really related to the TunnlTO app, but i thought id ask anyway: in discord, whenever i'm in a voice channel it works fine (the ping isnt even bad thanks to my VPS location), however actually connecting to the voice channels takes a long time, why could that be happening?
