Vampires don't have to worry about skeletons and zombies, as they're neutral to them... so wouldn't it make more sense if vampires weren't prevented from sleeping because of them?
when the game checks if there are monsters nearby, if you're a vampire it should ignore zombies and skeletons because those don't naturally attack vampires. it should still check for spiders, as those still absolutely are a threat to vampires, just...

Mod experience
it doesn't really affect balance, as vampires can already make bases in otherwise dangerous caves, letting them also sleep there wouldn't change much, as a vampire could just make a small tunnel to get away from the mobs while sleeping, taking away that need just makes things less tedious.
