What do you think about adding the lectern block back to 1.7.10? Not only it is a nice decoration, I also believe there's a potential for another neat feature.
It would be amazing if you could implement support for books from other mods, for example putting Thaumcraft's Thaumonomicon or Botania's Lexica Botania on the lectern and accessing it with RMB. Also, if a book will be displayed on the lectern, maybe you can make it look like a corresponding book (book with golden edges displayed on the lectern if it's Thaumonomicon, green book displayed if it's Lexica Botania, purple-ish book displayed if it's a Witchery's book and so on)
