Pyinstaller produces oiw directory in dist/oiw.
There is an exe file and when ran nothing happens.

I tried running through powershell because I thought maybe I'd get an error or something but I dont seem to have gotten anything

Are there any other directories generated? Did you use build.py or use pyinstaller manually?

I am surprised that there is only the oiw folder in dist. There should be another

If the folder has a subfolder called assets, it is the right one
