Welcome to the OpenMined design discussion board!
This board was created as a place for design enthusiasts and practitioners in the community to gather, discuss, and post ideas about design. So excited you're here, from me (Kyoko) and everyone at OpenMined welcome! See how to get started by reading the category descriptions below. 🙂

If you haven't yet, please go through the Code of Conduct. Follow the code to help us build a strong community.

The discussion board has 8 categories.

Curated Categories

These categories are posted by maintainers of this board to help inform you of org events, announcements and opportunities

• 📢 Announcements: Announcements about the OpenMined design team and related events or opportunities.
• 🌟 Challenges: Curated contests and prompts meant to help you hone or test your design skills.

QA Categories

These categories are open to all community members to post and are in a single question multiple answer format.

• 🙏 Advice: Needing help with a particular issue? Or perhaps feeling stuck and need some help brainstorming? This category is for members to post design-related issues they are having and get advice from other members in the community
• 💼 Opportunities: Needing some design help or looking for a designer to help you with a side project or idea? This category is open for the community to post job or project opportunities and to then respond to them.

⚠️ This is not for design requests made to the official OpenMined design team. Likewise these requests are not related to the OpenMined roadmap. This is a broader community job board to help designers in the community connect with those who have design needs for their own initiatives.

Open Discussion Categories

These categories are open to all community members to post and are in an open-ended format.

• 💬 General: Place to post anything design-related that does not fit other categories.
• 🌈 Ideas & Inspiration: Place to post what has been inspiring you lately and/or any ideas you'd love to discuss.
• 🤝 Introductions: Place for you to introduce yourself to the group and greet others.
• 🙌 Show & Tell: Place to post what you have been working on and get feedback from others.
